Author Guidelines

Title list

Article from the section "Exchange of experience"

The article should contain the results of the implementation of new medical technology or a synthesis of experiences rarely found in childhood disorders. The structure of the article corresponds to the requirements for original articles. Allowed amount of articles-  up to 10 printed pages, including figures, tables.

Clinical observations

The journal publishes short articles that have relevance and practical significance. These articles undergo an accelerated reviewing process and are published in a short time. The total volume of short messages is limited to 8 typewritten pages, number of figures and/or tables no more than 3, and the list of used literary sources should not exceed 10.

Review articles and lectures

Review articles and lectures presented by the authors in the initiative order, or can be ordered by the editorial Board. The recommended length of a review paper (lecture) should not exceed 12 pages of printed text, and bibliography 60 literature items (for review).

The design of the text of the article.

This corresponds to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the guidelines for authors located in the relevant section of the log.

The text is typed in Times New Roman with 1.5 line spacing; uses a font size of 14 points; to highlight use italics (not underlining); all references to figures, graphs and tables should be located in appropriate places in the text. Footnotes bibliography are  located at the end of the sentence indicating the source of citation.

Bibliographic descriptive standards cited publications

1. The references should be in alphabetical order on a separate page in accordance with the recommendations of the National Library of Health (

2. Each source is written on a new line under the serial number. Serial numbers of references are specified inside square brackets (e.g. [1, 2]). In original papers it is not assumed to quote more than 25 sources, in literature reviews – not more than 60. The article does not include references to the theses and dissertation abstracts, as they are manuscripts (If necessary, refer to the thesis/dissertation abstract, use the articles in which the published provisions of the dissertation research). Links to abstracts and articles in small-circulation regional collections should be avoided. Each link shows all the authors of the cited work.

3. The reference list should include the works of domestic and foreign authors for the last 5 years.

4. With the purpose of increasing citation in the journal the transliteration of Russian sources is given in the following order: the authors and the journal title are transliterated using the official encodings, and the title of the article translated into English. All Russian sources should be presented in transliterating version ( you can use an online service: )

5. The authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references, accurate citation of sources.

Abbreviated names of foreign journals are given according to the database PubMed, the period is placed after each abbreviated word in the title (see Examples).

References to foreign sources should include the url (PMID) or digital object identifier (doi), which are defined on the sites ( and (, respectively.


Symbols, abbreviations and units of measurement

For difficult terms and names often used in the text, you can include (in parentheses after the first mention of the full name /term) not more than 3-5 unconventional abbreviations. Installed international items abbr Names of microorganisms are given in the original transcription with the use of italics (E. coli, Streptococcus pyogenes). Common units are given without a point after their abbreviated notation (C, h, cm, ml, mg, kDa, etc.) regulated by the international rulesю

Design of illustrative material

Illustrative material must be original, i.e. not borrowed and not previously published.

The total number of illustrations (tables and figures) should not exceed eight.

Dimensions of the illustrations:

• maximum height 210 mm

• maximum width for 1 column, 82 mm,

2 columns – 170 mm

Table. Each table is printed on a separate sheet (separate file) in 2 intervals. The numbering of the tables is given in Arabic numerals independently of the numbering of figures (graphs and photos). The name is printed above the table. For marks in the tables, use one or more (*). Explanations are printed after the appropriate number (*) below the table. Units, if necessary, are included in the row or column headers.

Figures (diagrams and photographs). In the text the titles of the figures (graphs, photographs) and tables should be placed directly after the paragraph where they are first link. All figures are numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals as they are used in the text. The titles of the figures and captions are rendered in a list on a separate page. The list must include the figure number, the name (capitalized), text annotations (for photomicrographs should indicate the magnification). Captions are brief, but quite informative. Drawings can be presented in graphical formats with the extension .tiff (resolution at least 300 dpi at 100% scale).eps or .ai. Images embedded in Word documents will not be accepted. Graphs and charts are provided along with tables on which they were created, or with numerical designations of indicators displayed relevant graphic elements (bars, sectors, etc.) in the form of file extensions .doc or, preferable .xls.

The terms of the review and publication of manuscripts

For publication, the authors must confirm the following points. The article may be rejected if they do not match.

By submitting a manuscript to the journal the authors guarantee that the submitted material has not been previously published, in whole or in part, in the domestic periodical. The authors guarantee that the article is not submitted for review and publication in another journal. Since the adoption of the article for publication in the journal "Russian Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesia and Intensive Care"some of the material may not be published authors without approval by the editorial Board. The exceptions are:

• prior or subsequent publication of the article in the form of abstracts or short summary;

• use of content articles as part of a lecture or review;

• use submitted to the journal materials by the author while  writing thesis, books, or monographs


1. File sent articles must be submitted in the format .doc .docx, .rtf.

2. In addition to the file with the article the following files should be provided:

1) File with the cover sheet (metadata) (at boot the system is assigned the name of "cover sheet"):

The full title of the article sent to the editorial office with a translation into English.

Surname, name, patronymic, academic degree, academic rank, position of each of the co-authors (in Russian and English);

• subdivision and the official name of the institution (s) where the work was performed (in Russian and officially adopted English versions) showing their mailing addresses, phone and Fax numbers and e-mail address.

Surname, name, patronymic, academic degree, academic rank, position of the author responsible for further correspondence (in Russian and English).

The number of pages, number of figures, number of tables.

To specify for which section of the journal the work is intended: original articles, exchange of experience, lectures, reviews, clinical observations, etc.

2) a scanned copy of the file with the cover sheet signed by all authors (when uploading to the website it is named "signature of the author") is supplemented with the following:

The present author (s) confirm (s) that:

• Submitted for consideration by the editorial Board, the article has not been previously published or is not under consideration in other journals.

All contents of this work are known to all the sponsors and they have expressed their consent to its publication.

• Submitting a manuscript for publication in the journal "Russian Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesia and Intensive Care", together with illustrations and tables, the author(s) agree(s) that they  are free to transfer the copyright of the editorial Board, allowing the publication and distribution of materials in all available forms and fields of exploitation, without limits of territory of the spread and language of publication (assuming that this material is accepted for publication). At the same time, the author(s) confirm(s) that this work will not be published anywhere, in any language, without prior written permission of the copyright holder, i.e. the publisher.

• Author(s) agree to make the required editorial changes, if required.

• The authors reflected all sources of funding for the submitted work, and the existing conflict of interest including grants, honoraria for lectures and consultations and other possible forms.

• The article was prepared in accordance with the "Requirements for the publication in journal "Russian Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesia and Intensive Care"

• The study Protocol was approved by the local ethics Committee.

Patients (legal representatives and patients) included in the study, gave written informed consent.

3) Summary (when the file is loaded into the system, it is assigned the name "Summary").

 Available as a single paragraph without references and specific cuts. Volume – not bolee1 000 characters. For original articles the abstract should be structured (objective, material and methods, results, conclusions). Summary in full is also translated into English. On the same page, put "keywords" (3-10 words), promote indexing in information retrieval systems.

4) Drawings, if they are — each in a separate file (when you download the system each picture is given the name "Economy the figure number. The name of the picture").

5) File with the names of the drawings in the format .doc .docx., rtf,


6) Tables, if they exist, each in a separate file (the Title of each table must be cited by title in the file with the table)


7) (at File with the cited literature boot the system is assigned the name "Literature") in the following form:

Serial number links to the Authors, the title of the publication and the source where it is published, imprint name, publication name and source English Full Internet address (URL) of the cited article or its doi.

Placed the table in the order of citation Indicate the bibliographic standard, in accordance with the Rules for authors , which are located on the page " About the Journal "

The official English name of the publication and the source where it is published - for articles in Russian. In rare cases when there is no official English names (it is possible for these types of publications, like theses, books, etc.) - the editorial Board asks to provide their translations using a red font color. For English-language publications and sources in this column put a dash. In that case, if the article is not posted on the official website of the publication it  is acceptable to use URL of the article from third-party sites, including system

doi of the article in square brackets after the URL

Additional information.

1. If You send a manuscript to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, you agree with the requirements of blind peer review, details of which can be found in section "Review" on the website under "About the Journal".

2. The editorial Board reserves the right to edit articles and change the style without affecting the content.

3. The authors guarantee that they have exclusive rights to use the submitted materials.

4. Articles are accepted for publication free of charge.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

  • The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  • The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  • Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  • Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  • Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  • Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
